U.S. Department of State Grants
The mission of the U.S. State Department's Office of Overseas Schools is to promote quality educational opportunities at the elementary and secondary level for dependents of American citizens abroad. American-sponsored overseas schools play a significant role in the international endeavors of the United States. They not only serve the educational needs of U.S. children overseas, but also enroll children from host and third countries.
The Office of Overseas Schools encourages and supports the development of regional associations, of which AASSA is one, to provide American-sponsored overseas schools with a variety of educational services, including in-service training, materials development, purchasing of texts and equipment, and recruitment of teachers and administrators.
